Nawaz Sharif is a prominent Pakistani politician who served as the Prime Minister of Pakistan three times. He was born on December 25, 1949, in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
Sharif started his political career in the 1980s and became the Chief Minister of Punjab in 1985. He was elected as the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the first time in 1990 but was removed from office by the President in 1993. He was re-elected as the Prime Minister in 1997 and served until 1999 when he was overthrown in a military coup led by General Pervez Musharraf.
After spending several years in exile, Sharif returned to Pakistan in 2007 and became the Prime Minister for the third time in 2013. However, his third term was marred by corruption allegations, and he was disqualified from holding public office by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 2017.
In 2018, Sharif was sentenced to ten years in prison on corruption charges but was released on bail after serving only two months. He is currently residing in London, UK, where he is receiving medical treatment.
